Manchester Coffee Co. founded in 2018 decided to transition a stand alone website into a fully functional e-commerce site. This build required strategic UI Design to maintain the MCCO aesthetic. While using a CMS platform to create this site, use of Adobe XD, Illustrator & Photoshop were involved in this build. This project lasted from January 2020 - March 2020. The state of the current site can be found below.

The Future of
National Security

UNUM - the new name for the Defense Innovation Network platform launched in Mid 2021. The objective of the change is to connect individuals with innovators from the Defense community, allowing users to interact and engage with ventures, academic and overall DoD innovators. During this project I conducted UX/UI Design from skeletal wireframes to high resolution, interactive links passed on to a development team operating under the SCRUM Agile environment. My focus on UNUM was the interactive sign up page and how to increase engagement and user participation within the network.

UNUM.NSIN.US

Iteration One

During this iteration, UNUM as new branch of the NSIN network wanted to encourage users to engage with the idea of editing their profile during the initial set-up. With this iteration, the initial sign up page reflects that of NSIN while capturing three dynamics that is normally ignored during typical NSIN sign ups. This sign up process includes an opt-out option for users that already have an account. Throughout the process I included a status bar at the top to show users where they are in the set-up process. Included in this iteration is the encouragement for users to update a profile image thus marking the experience much more personable.

Iteration Two

Iteration two offered a new set of opportunities to further the wireframe. This included simplification of the sign up page, by limiting users to three important dynamics - location, work type & profile image. While still including the status bar on the top, I was able to decrease clicks by reducing the page amount to only five. While the initial idea was for users to update their profile during the set up, we opted for the ability to include a banner image featured on new users page that is on a time constraint or triggered by an inactive profile, such as incomplete fields throughout the process.

Final Iteration

The final iteration of the sign up page included more simplicity and defining exactly what UNUM wanted users to engage with. During this iteration we optimized the sign in experience to maintain the NSIN aesthetic, while also giving a more fresh experience. As part of the NSIN branding, the opt-out option is moved toward the bottom of the page. This iteration also pays heavy attention to encouraging users to engage with a profile image. To include more activity in this area, I moved the update profile section to the right, also giving users the option to use a pre-made avatar or upload personal images. When a user selects the United States as their region, they are offered the opportunity to select their Zip Code thus giving UNUM more dynamics.

Define Your Service

The U.S. Veterans Affairs offers a virtual internship known as VSFS. During this internship a combined number of over 200 interns join together under the DME (Digital Media Engagement) team focused on bettering components of the VA.gov site. During this internship I focused on User Research, Testing & User Analysis. After gathering my initial UX strategy, I used Adobe XD to transition from a low resolution wireframe to a high resolution, functioning site. The purpose of this build was to increase engagement and user traffic toward the DMEinterns website.

The Smile You Have
Always Wanted

Miller Orthodontics is a Case Study UI dedicated to exploring the world of Healthcare. In this build I explored User Research and physical compatibility with new and upcoming Mobile Devices. My research lead me to explore the nav being displayed much more compact and near the thumb, while also remaining "sticky". While devices are getting larger, users are exhausted with trying to reach their thumb to the top right, this reduces the amount of effort to scroll through the website/application.

The Local Taco is a national brand with locations in Lexington, Brentwood & Huntsville. While each location maintains their own site, this site serves as a focused one-stop shop for each location. Here displays directions, menus and catering options for each of the locations. While this project included an overall build using Webflow, the project began in Adobe XD with both a low and high resolution wireframe.
